Moscow Hosts Robosport 2005
It was all action and thrilling fun at Robotechnika in Moscow recently as the world’s first ever Robot Olympics got under way. Robosport 2005 was a showcase of sporting prowess and robotic achievement with AIBO invited to make a special RoboCup demo.
Fierce rivalry, fabulous skill, exquisite teamwork…Robosport 2005 had it all! The first ever Robot Olympics featuring a variety of games, competitions, Lego Mindstorm events and exciting school competitions was held between 18th and 21st October at Robotechnika in Moscow. AIBO was on hand to woo crowds with its impressive football skills, slick movement and intelligent teamwork. Visitors to the event were encouraged to form teams of three, controlling joystick-enabled AIBOs in high octane, nail biting games of football. There was much laughter and applause as the crowds appreciated the efforts of the competitors! Sony also made a special presentation of AIBO Mind 3 to the press and public, highlighting key features and applications of this superb new software package.
