One of the most exciting developments in AIBOs repertoire is its ability to interact and communicate over the net. If you’ve ever wondered what goes on in that cute little head, now is the time to find out! AIBO thinks about its experiences and records them in a Daily Diary complete with photos, then uploads the day’s action and activities to an online blog. So if friends or fellow AIBO enthusiasts want to see how your four-legged friend has been getting on, all they need to do is visit the web! It’s a great way to share experiences, show off new skills and demonstrate jaw-dropping tricks. Another fabulous new feature of Mind 3 software is AIBO Net News. Just imagine you’ve come back home from a hard day in the office and you need AIBO to fill you in on all that has happened in the world. No problem! While you’re sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee, AIBO will happily read out bulletins from your favourite websites. All you need to do is say “AIBO, read the news”; your AIBO will then reply ‘Which category should I read?’. You can then say ‘News’ or ‘Blog’ and AIBO will read out the latest headlines using RSS from the sites that you have defined. . Up to 300 URL’s can be registered for each category so you can have AIBO read bulletins to you all night long if you want. No excuse for not keeping up with the latest news and trends!
