This utility installs eBook Library software version 3.0.01, and provides the following benefits:

Adds support for Windows® 7 Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate

Note to Windows® 7 users: Those who previously installed eBook Library software version 3.0 on Windows® 7 will need to uninstall existing version of eBook Library software, before installing eBook Library version 3.0.01. This is due to the fact that eBook Library 3.0 did not officially support Windows® 7 and thus a clean-install of eBook Library 3.0.01 should be performed.
Fixes an issue where transferring content to a device occasionally causes a lockup or device detection error

Notes:

Use of the companion eBook Store is based on the user's place of residence, user must be 13 years of age or older, and requires an Internet connection (broadband recommended) which may require a fee. Certain titles may not be available for download based on location.
Any existing Library content and eBook store registration and functionality will be automatically migrated to eBook Library 3.0.01.10191.
Using the eBook Library software with 64-bit versions of Windows® XP operating system is not supported.

Before you start

Important notes:

The time required to proceed to the update may vary between 3 and 4 minutes.
The general instructions to update the software are available in the "Quick start guide" as well as in the help files of the software.
Make sure that you are logged on as a computer administrator.
Close all currently running programs on your computer.

Download and Installation procedure

Close all currently running programs on your computer.
After reading "the disclaimer", click the "Accept" button below to download the eBook Library Installer.exe file and save it to the desktop of your computer (recommended).
When the download is complete, double click the "eBook Library Installer.exe" file to start the installation.
Follow the instructions to complete the installation.

Check if the update completed successfully:

Start up eBook Library, and click Help.
In Help, click About eBook Library.
Check that eBook Library 3.0.01.10191 is displayed.

Note: If the version displayed is not 3.0.01.10191, download the file again and repeat the update procedure.

Unauthorised use of Utilities violates copyright and other intellectual property rights and Sony or the relevant licensor (as appropriate) reserves all rights.
Sony does not give any Warranty with regard to the accuracy or reliability of the results or output that derives from the use of Utilities. Sony does not accept any responsibility for loss of data or damage caused by the installation or use of any of the downloaded Utilities, or give any other warranty, or accept any liability whatsoever with respect to Utilities. Sony recommends that Users (and Users warrant that they shall) always create and retain a copy of all data in hardware (with or in which Utilities will be installed or used) before installing or using any Utilities.
Sony and Sony Affiliates do not (except as specifically stated in an applicable EULA, if at all) offer support or assistance in using, installing or maintaining any Utilities, or resolving issues or problems that may occur as a result of using or installing Utilities.

You acknowledge that the Utilities, and any accompanying documentation and/or technical information, may be subject to applicable export control laws and regulations. You agree not to export or re-export the Utilities, directly or indirectly, in breach of any such laws or regulations.

Applicable EULA's may impose additional warranty and liability exclusions or limitations on Utilities.

The downloading of any Utility constitutes acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not download any Utility or accompanying online documentation.
