Important Notice for Customers using SONY WALKMAN S738F/S739F

Thank you for your continued interest in Sony products.
Sony would like to inform that some headphones supplied with a limited amount of WALKMAN NWZ-S738F and NWZ-S739F in rare cases may display the following symptoms:
- The headphone's cord material becomes hard.
- Due to this, the cord may break.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Please contact our Customer Information Center, when the headphones supplied with WALKMAN have these symptoms. Sony will replace the damaged headphones with new ones without charge.
To confirm your WALKMAN belongs to the affected series, please check the serial number and model name of your WALKMAN. They are located at the back of the device:

- Press and hold the BACK/HOME button until the Home menu appears.
- Press the
button to select
(Settings), and then press the
button. - Press the
button to select Common Settings, and then press the
button. - Press the
button to select select Unit Information, and then press the
button.
Confirm the model name. To determine whether your WALKMAN is affected, enter the required model name and serial number. Then, click "Check".
