The Cyber-shot <DSC-FX77> can exchange images with a VAIO equipped with the Basic Imaging Profile (BIP)-compatible BluetoothTM function.

You can send images saved on the Basic Imaging Profile (BIP)-compatible VAIO to the Cyber-shot.

Setting the Cyber-shot to be connectable

  1. Set the MODE dial on the Cyber-shot to .


  2. Press BluetoothTM button on the Cyber-shot.


  3. The BluetoothTM menu appears.

  4. Select [RECEIVE] with left / right of the control button, then press Circle arrow.


  5. The BluetoothTM function starts up and "WAITING FOR CONNECTION" is indicated. The Cyber-shot is then connectable.

Sending images to the Cyber-shot

  1. Turn on the VAIO and turn on the BluetoothTM function.


  2. Double-click BlueSpace icon on the task tray.


  3. "BlueSpace" starts and the main screen appears.

  4. Click (the Device Discovery button) on the left side of she screen.

    The VAIO searches for BluetoothTM devices in the vicinity. When the device discovery operation is completed, a connectable BluetoothTM device(s) is displayed in blue on the right side of the screen.

  5. Move the device you want to connect in the center with Upper arrow / Lower arrow .

    Select the desired Cyber-shot based on the name and the device address.

  6. Click (the Service Discovery button) on the right side of the screen.


  7. Available services are searched for, and the available service button(s) located in the center of the screen begin to flash to indicate which services are available.

    Tips
    If passkey entry is required on the Cyber-shot and the VAIO, enter the passkey.
    If you run past the time limit for the passkey entry (30 seconds), repeat Step 5 to connect.

  8. Click (the Imaging button) the second button from the bottom in the column in the center of the screen.


  9. The following screen appears on the VAIO.

  10. Select the image you want to send, then click [Open].


  11. Image transfer starts.

    Tips
    If you select more images and click [Open], you can select more images at once.

    When the images have been sent from the VAIO, [RECEIVED] is indicated on the screen of the Cyber-shot.

  12. Select [EXIT] on the screen of the Cyber-shot, and then press Circle arrow of the control button.


  13. The image received by the Cyber-shot is displayed automatically.
    When more images are received, the image received last is displayed.

    Tips
    Once the connection is mode, Steps 3 and 5 are not required.
